Ben Lyons, Founder of New Jersey Roots Fund
Hi, I’m Ben Lyons, a junior at Westfield High School in Westfield, New Jersey, and the founder of the New Jersey Roots Fund. After hearing my immigrant grandparents' story of being rejected by dozens of banks while trying to get a loan for their clothing store, I saw how inaccessible capital can limit opportunity. Driven by my passion for finance and entrepreneurship, I launched NJRF after recognizing this significant inequality across our state. Through this initiative, I strive to close that gap, offering a platform that lifts people up, encourages community support, and makes lasting economic impact in the lives of underprivileged entrepreneurs across the Garden State.
